MEET LILO NAVALES
Lilo Navales grew up in Southern Spain, where the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea inspired her active lifestyle. She combined her passion for horses, biking, and skiing with her eye for design, and her marketing skills to establish Leather Goods of Spain in 1997. Lilo’s brand, LILO Collections, offers stylish product lines including jewelry, belts, accessories, apparel, luggage and small leather goods.
In 2016, Lilo designed and launched her active jewelry and accessories line that also includes Spanish leather belts and active wallets. She and her team make the jewelry and and cut-to-order the leather belts in her Virginia-based studio. The “Active Jewelry” line is designed for the outdoors loving individual who wants to show their passion and who they are. From runners, cyclists, triathletes, to water, snow sports and nature lovers, to equestrians, and yoga practitioners, each jewelry piece is lovingly made with beautiful Spanish leather and European hardware. Whether you are setting a race goal, celebrating a new distance accomplished, showing your love of horses, or calming your mind with yoga, there’s a LILO jewelry piece and belt that will speak to you.
Lilo drew inspiration from her friends who are athletes, single moms, and cancer survivors to create the “Express Yourself!” jewelry line. This unique jewelry uses words to motivate, inspire, and encourage men and women to express themselves as they navigate life’s challenges.
When Lilo is away from running her business and her studio, she maintains an active lifestyle. She regularly competes in mountain bike races, running races and triathlons, and enjoys skiing in the Winter. She was a former professional ski instructor in NH for 13 seasons, and counts being an Ironman triathlon finisher among her many athletic accomplishments. She also tirelessly volunteers as the President of the Richmond Triathlon Club, and is a Director of RVAMore (a non-profit organization that advocates for sustainable trails in the Greater Richmond, VA area), as well as doing cat rescues (TNR) to help control the feral cat community. Lilo hopes you will enjoy wearing her products as much as she has enjoyed designing them.
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Established in 1997 in Boston, Massachusetts. The Company moved to Midlothian, Virginia in 2001 where they have an office, studio and warehouse. Founded by Lilo Navales, President and Creative Director, whose family tradition of working in the leather industry in Spain expands over 125 years. The small leather goods, custom work and belts are made in Spain, while the jewelry is handmade to order in their studio in the U.S. Note that belts are custom cut and assembled in their US location. The company operates wholesale serving brick and mortar stores, web stores, and catalogs as well as retail online and at pop-up events all over the U.S. and internationally.
LILO Collections, LILO España, and LILO Mundo are brands of Leather Goods of Spain Impex Sol International, LLC. Included in the various product lines are: active jewelry, belts, small leather goods accessories, apparel, gifts, and luggage.
The Company sources its raw materials from sustainable, ecologically conscious suppliers that are continuously working to reduce their manufacturing footprint. The Company strongly believes in cutting back the use of single-use plastics and developed their innovative “burrito” packaging for shipping their goods in recycled paper to customers.
The Company’s Custom Services Division offers clients unique designs in gifts, belts, jewelry, apparel and luggage for corporate events, donor recognition, branding, as well as for rewards and incentives. They take pride in their attention to detail, customer service and in building lasting relationships with their customers.
